Beth Sholom is the only synagogue designed by the world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The 1028 seat synagogue was completed in 1958 and dedicated in 1959.
The late Rabbi Mortimer J. Cohen and Wright worked closely on the Synagogue's design and its symbolic representation of Jewish values, traditions and beliefs.
Upon its completion the Synagogue was acclaimed as a unique representation of Mr. Wright's architectural contribution to American culture. The Synagogue was named a National Historic Landmark in May 2007 by the Secretary of the Interior.
